Sustainable Supply Chains as Part of GELITA’s Corporate Strategy
Our corporate strategy includes adhering to global minimum standards and surpassing legal requirements in respective regions. These minimum requirements are outlined in our Supplier Code of Conduct, which all suppliers are expected to sign. Bindings agreements build reliable collaborations and long-term trust.
Our principles and standards align with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the International Labor Organization (ILO) Declaration. Since 2011, GELITA has been a member of the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (SEDEX) database, where our worldwide sites undergo regular audits to uphold ethical trading practices.
Ensuring Compliance and Legal Requirements
GELITA implemented Integrity Next, an ESG risk management platform. This platform facilitates the evaluation of our suppliers and ensures adherence to international standards and regulations on compliance and sustainability in a standardized and automated manner.
A comprehensive risk analysis based on industry and country parameters was conducted for all suppliers in 2024, with medium or high-risk suppliers undergoing detailed specific risk analysis through questionnaires. The responses are currently being validated to ensure validity, accuracy, and completeness. All GELITA entities were invited to participate in the risk analyses, regardless of risk value. Immediate measures are taken to minimize or eliminate risks and violations within the supply chain and our own units.
In February 2024, an external readiness assessment confirmed that GELITA effectively implements its obligations under the supply chain law and fully complies with its requirements. We are committed to maintaining sustainable supply chains and upholding ethical practices throughout our operations.
