Our Legal department plays a central role at GELITA. It is the legal backbone of our organization and ensures that we achieve our business objectives within the legal framework.
The day-to-day work in our legal department is diverse and dynamic. Our international team of lawyers is responsible for a wide range of tasks, from drafting and reviewing contracts to legal advice of our colleagues and managing our group companies in legal disputes. The legal department also contributes to GELITA’s success with its recommendations for strategic corporate and business decisions. Overall, our legal department is an indispensable part of GELITA group, helping to minimize legal risks, use opportunities and helping to ensure smooth business operations.
Our experts for Risk Management support the organization to identify, assess, and mitigate risks to protect our business from threats. We help navigate uncertainties and make informed decisions to safeguard our assets and reputation. Furthermore, we regularly inform and advise the Supervisory Board and Management Board about the risk situation and work together on strategic risks.
For GELITA Compliance is a Must. As Compliance is at the core of our operations, our team supports the organization to adhere to legal and regulatory requirements as well as to internal policies. Our services include developing effective compliance programs, conducting audits, and providing ongoing guidance to help everyone stay compliant.
Moreover, we are experts in the field of Data Protection. We are responsible for maintaining and developing our group-wide data protection management system and for enabling, steering and supporting the data protection organization. In addition, we advise our business on data protection-compliant behavior. We act as an enabler rather than a preventer.
The Internal Audit function at GELITA is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. With a home-base at the GELITA Headquarters, our Internal Audit team utilizes frequent travel and leverages digital technologies to evaluate the effectiveness of our internal processes and assess compliance with policies and regulations. Through independent assessments, we identify areas for improvement and provide valuable recommendations to enhance our organization's overall performance. Internal Audit is instrumental in maintaining a strong control environment and driving continuous improvement throughout our operations.
