What you will contribute

The Head of Global Process Development (all genders) is responsible for driving innovation. The function focuses on the development, optimization, and implementation of new technologies and manufacturing processes while ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and operational excellence.

What we will achieve together

  • Drive innovation in process and technology development to support global business and operational strategies
  • Manage and coordinate global process development projects with responsibility for quality, cost, timelines, and technical reporting
  • Foster international collaboration and knowledge sharing across pilot plants, production sites, and expert networks worldwide
  • Support the development and protection of intellectual property through technical expertise and collaboration on patent activities/ subventions for innovation projects
  • Provide technical guidance and support to global operations and facilitate the industrial implementation of new processes and technologies
  • Collaborate closely with Research & Development, product innovation team as advisor and link to the operations team / plants, and other cross-functional departments on technical evaluations and strategic initiatives 
  • Report technical developments, project progress, and innovation activities to senior management
  • Lead and manage the Global Process Development Department, including technical and disciplinary leadership, resource allocation, and employee development

What makes you stand out

  • University degree in Chemical / Biological Engineering or a related engineering/natural science discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Research & Development, Process Development, or similar technical functions
  • Industry experience in gelatin manufacturing or food processing 
  • Proven leadership experience 
  • Solid project management capabilities 
  • Ability to continuously acquire and apply new knowledge related to processes and technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a global and cross-functional environment
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Fluent in English and German and excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Open to travel international
