Capsule, tablet or caplet?

Tablets are one of the most popular oral solid dosage (OSD) forms for pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals. They have many advantages and are both easy and cheap to produce.

In tablet production, gelatin acts as an adhesive binder and improves the stability and release of the active ingredient. And for anyone who wants to combine the benefits of tablets with those of capsules, gelatin-coated tablets, or so-called “caplets”, are also simple to manufacture and easy to swallow.
