What you will contribute

The Senior Cost Analyst will report directly to the Brazil Controlling Manager and will play a key role in the calculation, control, monitoring, and analysis of manufacturing and operational costs, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial information to support business decision-making.

The role requires extensive cross-functional collaboration with Accounting, Tax, Controlling, Procurement, Logistics, Production Planning (PCP), Manufacturing, Process Engineering, R&D, and Production Units, as well as regular interaction with ERP/System Consultants and External Auditors.

This position may be based in either Cotia (SP) or Mococa (SP), Brazil.

What we will achieve together

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and calculate direct and indirect manufacturing costs.
Monitor and reconcile standard costs versus actual costs, including raw materials, packaging materials, labor, and manufacturing overhead.
Prepare cost reports and management analyses, providing explanations for variances and identifying improvement opportunities.
Support internal and external audit processes by providing required financial information and documentation.
Analyze labor and material costs associated with production orders across all manufacturing plants, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for cost reduction.
Calculate, monitor, and analyze imported raw material costs, including transportation modes, freight allocation, and related logistics expenses.
Review and validate cost allocation methodologies and absorption costing criteria.
Participate in month-end closing activities, including cost analysis, expense reviews, inventory reconciliations, and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) validation.
Support and participate in cyclical and annual inventory counts, investigating variances and monitoring inventory movements across systems.
Develop and monitor cost performance indicators and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and cost optimization.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations that enhance profitability and cost management.

Solid experience in Cost Accounting and Cost Controlling within a manufacturing environment.

Accounting knowledge is considered a strong advantage.

Education & Technical Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related fields.
Postgraduate qualification or specialization in Cost Management, Controlling, Finance, or related areas is considered an advantage.
Advanced English proficiency.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
Knowledge of Power BI is considered an advantage.
