What you will contribute

The Utilities Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the continuous, safe, and efficient supply of all industrial utilities, including power, water, steam, refrigeration, and wastewater treatment systems, required to sustain uninterrupted plant operations. This role contributes strategically to the business by leading energy transition initiatives and driving operational expenditure (OPEX) optimization. This is a mid-to-senior level position with significant organizational impact. Ineffective coordination of utilities can disrupt the entire production chain, compromise environmental compliance, and result in substantial financial liabilities.

What we will achieve together

    • Ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all utilities systems, including adherence to regulatory and environmental requirements.
    • Manage utilities-related contracts, standardize operating procedures, and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence and energy efficiency.
    • Oversee the utilities budget (OPEX), monitor performance indicators, and implement cost reduction and resource optimization strategies.
    • Lead energy management initiatives to reduce water, fuel, and energy consumption while improving asset performance.
    • Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
    • Serve as the primary technical liaison for audits, inspections, and environmental compliance matters.
    • Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure reliable utilities support for manufacturing operations.
    • Promote awareness and best practices for the efficient use of utilities resources and support the implementation and commissioning of new utilities equipment and systems.
  • What makes you stand out

  • Required Experience:
    • Proven experience leading and developing technical teams, including technicians, operators, and maintenance personnel.
    • Demonstrated track record in departmental budget management and direct interaction with major service providers and contractors.
    • Hands-on experience in the application, inspection, and compliance management of regulatory standards, including NR-13.
    • Strong knowledge of industrial utilities systems, such as steam generation, compressed air, refrigeration, water treatment, wastewater treatment, and power distribution.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
    • Postgraduate degree or MBA in Project Management, Maintenance Engineering, Energy Management, or a related discipline is a plus.
    • Active professional registration with the Regional Engineering and Agronomy Council (CREA).
    • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency, with the ability to read technical documentation and interact with global corporate stakeholders.
  • We value the diversity of our employees and are convinced that an inclusive working environment leads to better and more sustainable results. We therefore always make our selection decisions on the basis of competence and performance, regardless of personal or socio-cultural characteristics and beliefs. We are an equal opportunity employer.
