The GELITA NZ. Ltd. in Christchurch has been producing gelatine since 1913 and has a capacity of over 1,400 tons per year. Its main products are edible gelatine and gelatine hydrolysate for the clarification of wine and fruit juices.

They also produce pharmaceutical gelatine and instant gelatine.

Powder gelatine for the catering industry and for households is also produced and packaged under the GELITA label.

GELITA NZ. Ltd. has a market share of more than 80 % in New Zealand and exports its produce to Australia, the Pacific Basin countries, South America and the Middle East.
