Gelatine acts as a protective colloid in the manufacture of silver halide crystals for X-ray films, photographic and graphic materials. In further process steps crystal growth can be influenced and the sensitivity enhanced with the help of special GELITA^® Gelatine. Gelatine also stabilizes the coupling and dye emulsions used in color photography. It creates solidifying film layers and adjusts the viscosity of the casting solutions.
