Procurement is one of the major functions at GELITA. Whether it concerns the quality, cost or availability of the raw materials we require, the Procurement Department plays a critical role in determining our success. We can only achieve our ambitious goals and maintain and expand our quality- and market leadership by working hand in hand with first-class, performance-oriented suppliers.

International

As we have an international structure comprising 18 production locations in 9 countries, we have a globally organized Procurement Department. Our Lead Buyers are located in the various plants but are linked within a worldwide procurement network. In this way, we are progressing from local to global suppliers capable of supplying us wherever we are located.

In partnership

Efficient processes, a reliable supply chain and trouble-free cooperation, however, cannot be realized overnight. For this reason, we are in the process of building up close and long-term partnerships with our suppliers. This enables us to guarantee not only quality and operating efficiency, security of delivery and reliability for our customers but also optimal economy of scale for all.

Sustainable

As far as GELITA is concerned, we are not so much interested in short-term profits but on long-term success. Sustainable economics are just as important for us as they are for our suppliers. By consequently implementing our procurement strategy through highly motivated and qualified staff and pursuing close cooperation with high-quality suppliers, we are setting procurement standards on an international basis, hence contributing significantly to the success of GELITA.
