Now, however, with VITARCAL®, we can offer the food industry a concept that opens up two routes to efficient calorie management.

Our collagen PARGEL® and OPTICE® gelatines are functional ingredients for passive calorie management. Here, the calorie content of individual products or portions can be reduced by replacing fat either partially or wholly with collagen or gelatine. This reduction in fat content takes place without any loss of taste or enjoyment as our ingredients imitate the conventional fat ingredients and generate authentic mouth feeling..

For active calorie management we can supply the collagen peptide PEPTIPLUS®. This protein exert an influence on the feeling of satiation and can thus contribute towards regulating food intake and reducing it to a reasonable healthy mass.

Depending on the product and its application, our VITARCAL® Concept uses special types of gelatine, collagen or collagen peptides. Thus, food manufacturers can use them in developing numerous innovative products for sustainable and effective calorie management: e.g. in semi-fat butter and cheese spreads, salad sauces and mayonnaise, meat and sausage products, ice cream, chocolate, pastries and instant soups.
