GELITA thus carries out intensive preclinical and clinical research in order to better understand the connection between nutrition and healthy bone and to be able to develop innovative collagen products for increasing bone density.

A new patented GELITA concept shows that we are on the right route here: we have been able to show that a special type of nutrition comprising collagen peptides and calcium can stimulate bone metabolism.

The goal of our research is to develop food ingredients to combat degenerative diseases such as osteoporosis. The development of products for the prevention of this disease is also conceivable. Such solutions could be of great interest for the nutrition of the elderly and for children.
