the technical gelatine hydrolysate (GELITA TEC) manufactured by the GELITA Group is used extensively as leaf fertilizer. Due to the slow degra-dation of amino acids, the precisely adjusted nitrogen concentration is made available over a longer period of time; this favors the metabolism of the plants treated. Specially selected gelatines and gelatine hydrolysates are also used a biologically degradable binding agents in the manufacture of fertilizer pellets.
